Nandlal Bose painted the illustrations of India’s Consitiution in 1948-49, which are of similar theme to present Lot.


Pratima was one of the first students of the Vicitra club and studio. She learnt painting from Nandalal Bose.
Pratima was the daughter of Binayini Devi, sister of Gaganendranath and Abanindranath Tagore.

This choreography is one of spiritual fervor and engagement of bhakti.
The atmosphere has been created by gesture and poise and the language of veneration and devotion.
The central figure of the Boddhisatwa, the lotus bearer shown with a lotus in his hand depicts the Buddhist virtue of compassion.
Beautiful perhaps is the candidness of contours the expression in the eyes of the women and the tableau of devotion that binds everyone into a harmonic whole.
Nandlal is known as the artist who spearheaded the nationalistic artistic movement to celebrate spiritual as well as artistic Indian traditions.
