12 Volumes Set Comprising 185 hand color aquatint engravings

Comprising 185 hand color aquatint engravings, many fold-out plates. 12 volumes includes: Persia, in 3 volumes, with 30 hand-colored plates; Hindoostan, in 6 volumes, with 103 hand-colored plates including 13 folding; Japan, in 1 volume, with 20 hand-colored plates; Austria, in 2 volumes, with 32 hand-colored plates. (All complete as per list.)

Finely bound in half-calf over linen, gilt to spine in compartments. An excellent set overall with clean and bright contents.
A handsome set.

Featuring 185 engraved plates in vibrant hand-color. These were part of the series which was published by Ackermann over a period of years in the 1820s, and the complete series eventually consisted of 43 volumes.

Hindoostan volumes are Illustrated with 105 coloured engravings.
