The twin sided landscape consists of the fishermen with their nets and deserted landscape with trees.

In this suite of works we see Bhattacharjee’s style underwent a significant transformation, according to his subject, with objects it was a closer zoomed in detail study with different perspectives of the design dynamics, but in landscapes and riverine scenes it was an employment of impressionist rounder modelling and greyer, lighter tones to reflect the sultry Calcutta weather and waves of the Bengal coastline.
