This painting depicting a woman with bullock cart and a large circle. The style is reminiscent of a modified Cubist approach, which M.F. Husain often employed. The painting includes: a female figure on the left, seemingly seated with one arm raised, a large, empty circle dominating the center of the composition. Husain's works often explore themes from Indian mythology, rural and urban life, and significant figures.
This particular piece, with its stark contrast and abstract forms, could be interpreted in various ways, reflecting the artist's diverse subject matter and style. The absence of colour and the strong lines are characteristic of some of his monochromatic works, which show influence from East Asian painting styles.
